V for Vendetta {New Edition}

Heard before V for vendetta was a good story, read also other Moore's stories (killing joke, spawn) but his was the best! No restrictions for Moore's universe with an excelent story. Art does not get behing and is an excelent complement to the story. A must read comic

This comic is fabulous!!! This comic is for "thinkers." It truly is.... I would say read the comic and also watch the DVD. They are both wonderful pieces. Sure to get you thinking. I know it did that for me. This has become my favorite "book" and favorite movie.

A great story by Alan Moore. Especially relevant during our current political climate here in the states. Only negative is that I don't have a big enough screen to enjoy the complete detail of this fine work.

Arrived on time, in perfect condition. I would buy from this seller again.

My only complaint would be with the product--I'm a fan of cover art, and I was hoping this compilation would keep the separate covers. It does, but they're compiled in the back as small images. So, just a heads up to anybody buying this. Other than that, it's superb.

This is a great graphic novel, Alan Moore is such a great author, I was very young when this was first published but over the time I heard about this and got me curious about it.

I can't say enough good things about this, doesn't matter if you liked or not the movie. This will surely blow your mind :)

The climax is so great! I remember I was thrilled while reading it, couldn't put the book down. Such a great reading!

I got this for my thirteen year old daughter. She was reading Fahrenheit 451 and this is the perfect companion to that book. The graphics are haunting and the text is raw. This book is an excellent way to open a discussion with anyone but really worked well with my teenager.

I ordered this book with 4 other Batman graphic novels. I have always been an Alan Moore fan, his works such as Watchmen and The Killing Joke are very provocative and unique.

This graphic novel collects the original graphic novel with some deleted scenes, large collection of artworks and a good afterword. I loved the movie, which was boring in many cases. The book is unique in its on genre. V for Vendetta stars a mysterious freedom fighter codenamed 'V', fights for freedom against a fascist group led my an evil leader. Alan Moore illustrates a wonderful insight on freedom and resistance to fatal moments. The amazing artwork mixed with literature brings a poetic epic to the industry.

A classic of the graphic novel genre, Moore's dystopian England is as visceral as it is believable. The fears in V for Vendetta are every bit as relevant today as they were when this was first published.

Started off loving the film. Love the graphic novel even more. Great piece of social, economic, and political criticism. The drawings are dark, the characters are defined, and this novel makes a great addition to your standard collection, or a great introduction to intelligent graphic novels.

This graphic novel is, I consider a two part tale. One being a really good comic (not one with over the top comic story arcs) and the other part is a good story. The art is a little muddled and some characters kinda look the same, but in the end, the graphic novel amazing. It's really changed my perspective on a lot of things, especially government control and a very haunting question, is there enlightment in the process of one being broken? This story answers that question. It's amazing. Truly a fascinating graphic novel.

People now in general know the story, they all saw the movie. But the comic is even better. Even if you already saw the movie and "know" the story you wil read the comic like a completely new story. Alan Moore is definitely one of the greatests.

I have never read a graphic novel, till this one. I saw the movie and decided to read the novel. The movie was a five out of five and it is only half as good as this book. The book is eerily familiar to today's political climate, despite the fact it was written twenty years ago. A must read for any comic hero fan.

After reading "Watchmen" and "The Dark Knight Returns" I expected the best from this graphic novel and it did not disappoint in anyway. The first day I got it I read about half of it in one sitting! Be prepared to not put this action packed novel down!!

The inclusion of graphic novels into the digital world is a great idea. I had the print edition and opted to read the digital edition instead because of readability. I would definitely recommend this edition to anyone.

This is truly the finest graphic novel I have ever read. Taking place in England while a police state rules in the near future, a mysterious hero arises to free the populace from their physical and psychological cage. I have read this graphic novel three times already, and each time I see new symbols and different faucets to the text.
The art is oftentimes harsh and truly difficult to view--it takes a while to get used to, but it is truly great in that it perfectly matches the subject matter.
If you care anything for comics, you must read this novel. If you care anything for a wonderful story about heroism, freedom, and anarchy rendered by wonderful art, you must read this novel.

This is the original graphic novel that the movie was made from - and the movie took some interesting liberties. I love the movie so I had to get the book.

While scenes in the book are quite different from the movie - especially he Houses of Parliament and the Old Bailey - it's an absorbing read with very good graphics and an excellent story line.

As soon as I finished it, my son grabbed it and I may not see it again unless I threaten him with a baseball bat!!

This is an AMAZING graphic novel with an outstanding storyline. MUST READ! Everything about this book is fantastic. This is the ultimate what-could-happen book. What could happen if the government took things into its own hands?
